COVID Thread

No. It's my province dragging their heals. It's a bit of a long history as both major parties (in this province) have let health care funding slide and it bit the last governments ass in the election even though they did well with covid overall. The new government has, of course, replaced the appropriate individuals in health care but 'it will take time to correct'.
 
For the life of me, I can't figure out why when a politician gets elected the first thing they do is start screwing the people that elected them. There are some simple things you don't screw with:
  • Health care
  • Public services (Fire, Police, Parks & Recreation)
  • Taxes
It's that simple. You don't screw those up, you can essentially destroy everything else you touch and nobody will give a damn.

But they just can't leave it alone.

The mind boggles.

The incubation period of covid is roughly 10 days.

Yeah. This is pretty much what I expected. I'm not the least bit surprised. What does surprise me is how once again everyone was speculating before we had any real time to assess it.

They never learn.
 
It's the same shit every time. Do some half-measures that everybody thinks is the end of the world because they're spoiled little bitches. Start to get the upper hand on the whole fucking mess because of the measures you put in place, bow to pressure and say the worst is over and remove all restrictions then get bitch slapped again 4 to 6 months later. It's happend since the whole thing started. Same fucking shit every single time.
