I was 9. I had been seeing rocket launches since I was born. By the time of Apollo 11, I had fully digested Star Trek, Capt Scarlett, The Thunderbirds and a host of other Sci-Fi movies.

One of the few memories I have of my father was we lived for a time at Coco Beach, Florida. We could sit outside and watch rockets going up from time to time.
