Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been found guilty in last year's death of George Floyd.
The jury returned a guilty verdict on one count of second-degree manslaughter, one count of second-degree murder and one count of third-degree murder.
The decision by jurors was reached on their first full day of deliberations after closing arguments wrapped up Monday afternoon.

I'm still kinda surprised. I figured they'd find a way to let him skate. I watched the video of him being handcuffed and escorted out at least 10 times. I hope the judge throws the book at him after beating him half to death with it.

Right now they have the asshole segregated for his protection.
That's easy to do in the local jail. Once he's transferred to prison proper, that's a different story.

I'm sure they'll keep him segregated for a while, but you can't be segregated 24/7. Eventually, he'll have to go shower, go eat, go outside, etc.

He's eventually going to get his ass kicked. Several times.

Well, he's probably going to get this verdict tossed and get a new trial.

The defense has filed a motion for a new trial on the grounds of juror misconduct. They're probably going to get it too. Reason: this idiot:

On the questionnaire and during voir dire, he was asked: Have you or anyone you know taken part in a black lives matter protest. His answer: no.

But there he is, the juror, in a crowd, wearing not only a BLM shirt but a "Get Your Knee Off Our Neck" BLM shirt, directly pointing at the trial he was about to sit in judgement of.

That one damned idiot is going to let him off the hook.
