The researchers found that far-right voters were more likely to share misinformation than center-right voters, especially when the misinformation was relevant to their sacred values. Identity fusion with a political party also predicted a higher likelihood of sharing misinformation, regardless of whether the content was related to sacred or nonsacred issues.
