Wargaming Support – More lies and bullshit
Folks, this one comes to us from our Facebook page.
Now, when the AMX 13 57 went on sale for a limited time (which was supposed to be three days, or a month, or a week depending on what page you looked at and wound up only being on sale for 2 days and change), there were a lot of questions:
- Why are you selling it again when you said you wouldn’t?
- Why do you put it in so many puffed up, overpriced bundles?
- Why can’t we just buy the tank and garage slot?
and last but certainly not least
- Can we trade the AMX 13 75 GF for it like they can on the EU server?
You can read more about it on this thread on the official forums.
Here is the operative post from that thread by _asdf_ :
Note that is the 4th post in the thread that CabbageMechanic posted himself. It is NEVER answered even though multiple people ask for a clarification. (Nothing new for Wargaming NA (not applicable) as they exist apparently for the sole purpose of confusing, trolling and screwing over the NA player base.)
Well, folks, thanks to our Facebook page and cool cat named Dale, we can now answer that for you. The answer is “YES” if you can tolerate a bunch of pure, adulterated bullshit.
Now, for the record, Dale took a huge risk supplying this to us, but we have no doubt you folks will be cool since he is, after all, providing a MASSIVE public service here. Now, he has an account on the EU server and had actually taken advantage of the EU server’s offer to swap skins. He simply assumed that the NA server would be no different. So he sent in a simple ticket request to the NA (not applicable) support office identical to the one he did on the EU Server.
With the new skin for the AMX 13 57, can I swap the GF paint for a stand paint scheme please?
And here’s the answer he got:
Thank you for reaching us at Wargaming Support! We are very happy to hear from you.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. We certainly know the frustration you are having as of the moment. Unfortunately, we cannot exchange or swap any kind of in-game asset/items for a different one. This will alter the game balance and will be unfair for other players.
We’re very sorry for any trouble this may have given to you. For more information, we suggest on visiting our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) on this link https://na.wargaming.net/support/
We look forward on seeing you in the battlefield.
Keep the tanks rolling!
Confused as hell, he fires back with this:
They are allowing this swap on the EU. Why are they allowing it there and you are not allowing it on the NA server?
And like a Borg v. McEnroe match, they fire back:
Greeting Commander xxxxxxxxxx,
Thank you for reaching Wargaming NA support and for playing World of Tanks!
Just like my colleague has mentioned we cannot exchange or swap any kind of in-game asset/items for a different one.
Also please know that the link that you have provided is from a third party website that is not connected with Wargaming.net.
Should you encounter any future concerns or questions, please feel free to visit our Frequently Asked Questions.
See you on the battlefield commander! Roll Out!
Have a nice day!
Showing patience on a level I can only dream of coming anywhere near, he keeps on responding in a ‘cooler than the other side of the pillow’ manner:
Thanks for the reply.
WG EU took care of a similar issue with AMX M4 49 Liberte and the T26E5 Patriot in March of last year. Please reference ticket ID’s 4090066 and 4062085 on the Wargaming EU support portal.
When those vehicles were purchased the regular skins were not available. I have been a great consumer of your premium products almost since the beginning. Please take another look at this issue to see if there is a way to swap the AMX 13 57 GF for the AMX 13 57 please.
Not to be deterred by a polite, paying customer, Wargaming NA (not applicable) Support keeps denying to do a damn thing as usual.
Hello there, xxxxxxxxxx.
Thanks for responding.
The game is divided in different regions (Europe, Russia and North America), that are independent from each other; this means that they are different and separate entities. And thus do not have access to each others’ players’ account.
Also, please bear in mind that vehicles have a separate and unique gaming code that can not be changed or modified once bound on an account.
I am sorry I don’t have better news, but I hope you will understand our limitations.
We hope we are able to clarify this for you.
For all future concerns, please consult our Frequently Asked Questions https://na.wargaming.net/support/ as you may be able to find an answer to your question immediately.
Now, even IF by some fucking MIRACLE I had kept my cool all that time, THAT response would have catapulted my ass off the deep end. I would have completely lost my shit. But our man in Istanbul is EPIC cool. I’m talking Steve fucking McQueen cool. He responds:
Please explain to me how wargaming EU was able to perform this function and wargaming na is not able to do it.
This seems like a simple case of won’t rather than can’t. It also seems to be maybe another attempt to get me to buy yet one more premium vehicle. If you look at my account you will see that I have already purchased dozens of Premium vehicles. I prefer to put my own camo on my tanks.
I wish to escalate my case beyond what you can provide please provide me the information to escalate this ticket.
And Warfailing NA (not applicable) fires back:
Thanks for contacting Wargaming Support!
We understand your predicament however, we do not offer tank swaps at this time, unless it has been stated otherwise via the news page or other announcements. We do understand and apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We can only suggest keeping an eye out for any changes or updates on our news page here.
We hope you have a good day.
Now, just a shot time after that message was sent, while our man in Istanbul was crafting another response, this rolled in:
Hello there, xxxxxxxxxx.
Thanks for contacting Wargaming Support earlier.
I went back to this ticket as we just received an update.
I have good news for you!
We are now following suit and offering the trade.
Currently, we are offering to swap the AMX 13 57 GF for the unskinned AMX 13 57, too!
Before we proceed with your swap, please be aware of the following:
• AMX 13 57 GF statistics will stay in your Service Record.
• Equipment and Consumables will need to be removed from the tank or they will disappear.
• The Crew will be moved to the Barracks (temporary bunks if there are no free ones).
• The swap is only possible one way (AMX 13 57 GF -> AMX 13 57). There’s no reverse swap.
• This process is fully automated. After your ticket submission, DO NOT Play with the AMX 13 57 GF or the swap will fail.
• You will not be able to restore the AMX 13 57 GF under our restoration policy
If you agree to these terms, please respond with you confirmation to perform the swap.
We look forward to your reply and in assisting you.
And cool as always, he responds:
Please swap my vehicle. I agree to the swap.
I would also like an explanation of the below response:
“Also, please bear in mind that vehicles have a separate and unique gaming code that can not be changed or modified once bound on an account.
I am sorry I don’t have better news, but I hope you will understand our limitations.”
So how are you now able to change or modify this unique gaming code that “cannot be changed or modified” once bound on an account when you could not (I read would not) a few hours ago?
Is this a new capability you just acquired today or something you consulted with the EU server team to get this technology?
I spend a lot of money with your company and would like to feel supported for supporting you for so many years.
As if he never asked a damn thing, they send him this and close the ticket:
Thank you for getting back to us and for your confirmation!
Per your request, we have traded AMX 13 57 GF with AMX 13 57.
Please feel free to check your account and ensure that you received the AMX 13 57.
Please be reminded that this process is one way and there’s no reverse swap.
Should you have further inquiries, please do not hesitate to visit Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you and have a great day Commander!
So they couldn’t. Then it was impossible because of coding. Then, as if by elfin magic, they can!
It’s all bullshit. The simple fact is they always could. Like our NA transfers we never got, they simply REFUSE to do it until you sort of prove beyond any and all doubt that they’re completely and totally full of shit.
So there you go folks. If you want to make the swap, feel free to start filing tickets and simply keep referencing the EU offer and the fact that they have now actually done it on the NA (not applicable) server.
Apparently, they finally found somebody that could click a fucking mouse and make it happen.
Whatever the case, that’s game, set and match – Dale.
