Happy New Year! – A brief look back at 2017

Of note in all of that is that employee review.

Note that it was posted in March of 2017 and the employee states, ” in the last 6 months new management in the U.S. office was more interested in cutting costs than improving user experiences”.

That puts the actual start date of the decline as somewhere around August to October of 2016…right about the same time this site got into full swing.

    Odd coincidence, isn’t it?

That is EXACTLY what we’ve all seen happen since then as well: Absolutely no support, no consistency, no transparency or accountability and seemingly nobody on duty anymore, more and more issues of missions not working, servers crashing, glitches and resets that make no sense…the list is endless.

That review by that employee matches EXACTLY what we’ve all been saying for the last year and a half. It actually verifies what we (and many others that Wargaming has silenced and deleted on the main forum) have been saying all along.

    HA!

I hadn’t noticed the time coincidence. That is indeed funny!

I went and looked up some more of the other reviews in that online publication notice “indeed” and read the other one’s as well. Interesting comments in there. Glassdoor has some more also too.

2018 will hold a lot of answers in the coming year indeed. I feel like there will be a few surprises coming before it’s over in due course time. I can’t begin yet to speculate how it will play out exactly just yet? As the bread crumbs start to fall out, it will begin to make sense gradually. Then more sense even afterwards as it come’s into focus and perspective. Then you’ll be able to connect the dots which will be contrary to the public official statements which will be deceptions to the contrary as they usually are.

It’s quite obvious in the mornings.

I’ve enjoyed the game in a casual way and got to tier VII/VIII in most nationalities, but I’ll never grind my way up to tier X. The last time I played the new(er) interface really put me off, so I suspect I won’t be going back.

This was my experience too — World of Tanks is great fun up until Tier V or so, because you’re never stuck with one tank long enough for it to become boring. It’s like a whirlwind tour. But then you reach the middle tiers and suddenly there’s no way to keep moving up without doing a lot of grinding — unless you’re willing to pay real money, of course.

I should note that I’m not particularly averse to paying real money; devs who make good games deserve to get paid. I paid for a monthly subscription to WoT for a few months for precisely that reason — I’d had enough fun at the lower levels to make it feel worth paying for. But then I found myself grinding even with the XP bonuses you get with a paid membership, and that’s when I was more or less out.

IMHO the worst part of WoT is its community. Game’s fine, but devs being dicks (case point: SerB) and absurd elitism from XvM (case point: I’m late green, but some dude’s 5 points more than me so he feels entitled to bash everyone around like there’s no tomorrow) and absurd racism are the real cancers in WoT. Not to mention absurd stuff like ramming, pushing, blocking, getting in LoS, etc. etc… ~_~ I got tired of WoT, for good.

Seriously – from all the PC games I played WoT community is the most riddled with racist dickheads of all.

I played in the very early days of WoT, and had a whale of a time.

Then it became apparent how much grinding was going to be involved to get to the top tiers of tanks. I am not a fan of grinding.

Then it became apparent that much of the WoT community was just the worst. Like, on par with League of Legends the worst.

    Then I stopped playing.

Also, it is rather glaring to take time to read the recent BBB reports of the past few months posted with their office etc. and Notice the negative reports, pay no attention to the over all rating. Look carefully at the % tile rating of negative reports.

Good lord. Going back to 2016 they are ALL negative. The only positive review is by an unverified poster.

ALL of the verified posts are negative. Every single one of them. That is amazing.
